Dr. Neal Pylant is originally from
Marietta, Georgia, where he graduated valedictorian from Marietta High School in 1973. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he attended dental school at The Medical College of Georgia and graduated in 1981. He then returned to The Medical College of Georgia for a postdoctoral degree in periodontics. After completing his postdoctoral education in periodontics in 1983, he moved to Athens and began a private periodontal practice.
Dr. Pylant is happily married. He lives in Athens and has four children.
